River is still currently fenced off, although it can be reached across a rocky bank. Unfortunately this is where i overbalanced, dropped and broke the thermometer. Did not detect native fauna. Over abundance of poplar trees still evident. Blackweeds (acacia), some small weeds, and blackberries further along bank.
