Later this day at around 2pm there was a report of bluish, smelly water emerging from a stormwater drain near Kingsbury Bowls Club in Reservoir. It was reported to the EPA and photos were put up on Friends of Darebin Creek Facebook site.

Three Darebin Creek monitors (Darebin Parklands) happy to get a Very Good score for waterbugs. Bugs included around 50 of these false spider crabs.

Christmas Day 2011 floods has led to large amount of sediment and small rocks deposited into middle of creek. This has created a dam effect. On opposite bank erosion has formed a new overland flow route. Both banks severely scoured by flood water.
